Someone has put together two pieces of software that will let (some of) you test out Apple’s new Touch Bar, even if you don’t have a new MacBook Pro. One way is to pull up a virtual bar on your Mac, but the nerds behind this project also made a way to turn your iPad into a Touch Bar that you can use as a Touch Bar for your Mac.
But you have to get a hold of the specific build of macOS 10.12.1 Sierra that has Touch Bar included, and you need to know what you’re doing when it comes to sideloading an app onto your iPad. The project is available on GitHub, at least for now.
