Spotlight Suggestions expand, Hyundai CarPlay, Microsoft axing, Unfade scans photo albums

Apple brings iOS 9 Spotlight Suggestions to 7 more markets, adds NBC to Apple TV’s universal search — Apple has brought iOS 9’s Spotlight Suggestions to seven more markets and added NBC as an item in the fourth-generation Apple TV’s universal search results. Spotlight Suggestions are now available on supported iPads and iPhones running iOS 9 and later  in India, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and the United Arab Emirates. In all there are now 26 regions that support the feature (Other supported regions include the US, UK, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.)

Hyundai adds Apple CarPlay support to six models, report says — Korean carmaker Hyundai plans to integrate CarPlay compatibility into a total of eight 2015 and 2016 vehicles, bringing the firm closer to offering Apple’s infotainment system across its entire lineup.

The company that developed Scanbot (doo GmbH) has released a new app called Unfade (NZ$7.49/US$4.99) that makes scanning, touchup and storage of old photographs as easy as scanning paper documents with Scanbot.
